Monday - Lessons 1.1-1.7: Students reviewed all of Chapter 1 to prepare for evaluation.

Tuesday - Test 1: Students completed a test over Chapter 1 Math Skills.

Friday - Lesson 2.2 Conversion Between Systems: Students worked on associating each prefix with its meaning & symbol as well as finding conversion factors and converting between SI units.

Hello!

Here is an update from Business Math this week:

Monday - Lesson 1.4 Operations with Integers: Students reviewed how to add, subtract, multiply, & divide integers as well as how to find the absolute value of an integer.

Tuesday - Lesson 1.5 The Language of Algebra: Students worked on identifying the number of terms in a polynomial, evaluating algebraic expressions, & solving simple linear equations.

Wednesday -- Guest Speaker 1: Pastor Keith Lewis presented a Biblical perspective on finances and answered students' questions regarding this topic.

Thursday -- Lesson 1.6 Solving Equations: Students worked on solving polynomials & linear equations.

Friday -- Lesson 1.7 Integer Exponents: Students worked on writing expressions in exponential notation & converting between positive and negative exponents.

It has been a great week in Business Math. I am really enjoying working with these Seniors. Here is an update on Business Math this week:

Monday - Lesson 1.1 Rates, Ratios, & Proportions. Students worked on reviewing how to express ratios and how to write & solve proportions.

Tuesday - Lesson 1.2 Percents. Students worked hard on converting among percents, ratios, & decimals as well as how to solve equations involving percents.

Wednesday - Chapter 1 Stewardship & Scripture. Students discussed how to understand & apply biblical teachings on praying for finances. As a part of this lesson, the students completed an online forum. If you are interested in reading any of their submissions, click here. (password: ccs)
